Privacy Policy
Think Throo ("us", "we", or "our") operates https://thinkthroo.com and the Think Throo platform (together, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy describes our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
What We Collect and Why
When you create an account or use the Service we may collect your name and email address. We use this information to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Identify and communicate with you
- Process your purchase orders
- Respond to your requests and enquiries
- Track your progress through course content (where applicable)
- Display code review comments in the platform Reviews section
- Improve our products and services
We keep personal data for as long as you hold an account with us, and for three years after account closure to meet legal obligations and resolve any disputes. We may retain aggregate, non-identifiable data beyond that period to improve the Service.
GitHub Connection
To use the code review feature you can connect your GitHub account. When you do:
- We request read access only to the specific repositories you choose to share
- That access is used solely to perform the requested code review
- We do not store your source code. Code is forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis; only the resulting review comments are stored and shown to you in the Reviews section
- You can disconnect your GitHub account at any time from your account settings
AI-Powered Code Review
Our code review feature is powered by Anthropic (Claude). When you submit a review request:
- The selected code is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis
- To provide context-aware reviews, Think Throo helps you define architecture documentation (markdown files) for your repository. The content of these markdown files is embedded and stored in Pinecone, a vector database. At review time, your submitted code and the relevant retrieved documentation are sent together to Anthropic's API. Your source code is not stored on our servers or in Pinecone. You can request deletion of your architecture documentation and its embeddings at any time by contacting ramu@thinkthroo.com or you can delete the content yourself.
- Anthropic's handling of data submitted via their API is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy
Log Data
When you visit the Service your browser may send us Log Data including your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of your visit, and time spent on pages. This data is used for security monitoring and service improvement.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how our Service is used and to improve it. PostHog collects information about page views, feature usage, and interactions with our Service. PostHog's privacy policy is available at https://posthog.com/privacy.
